trip 5 (or is it 6 now? i've lost count) from washing machine repair people. at least he was here and saw what was happening. at first i was worried because we went through a cycle and it worked without a problem, but we then did another and it had the same issue as all along. just stops...
wow! that much rain that quick would be a flash flood event here. nice to have some time off to take a break for a few. i managed that today and really needed it and appreciated it. :)
ham, taters, bean caserole, rolls, salad, dessert. nice day with family. wish my nephew would have stuck around and talked more. still good to see him.
i've heard about the piece of bread trick (perhaps a bit of sponge instead would be more sterile, but really for us brown sugar doesn't last very long around here between my sweet tooth and Mom's baking - we buy packages of brown sugar 7lbs at a time - we probably shop at the same big box club...
at first i thought he was holding a shotgun, so i was going to say that if i ever start talking politics when i am alone out in the woods, just take that shotgun and do me in. and then i saw it was some sticks. that might be too much to ask of someone...
with today's visit (two people needed) i'm sure they're now down quite a pile and it will likely be a minimum of two more visits and perhaps more... it's now into redonkulusland...
yes, that was part of my conversation with the service department lady today. 2 months, 5 trips, no end in sight,
i am not amused at all and it gets worse...
at the end of today's repairs they handed me two metal brackets and said that they didn't know what they did but they kept falling off...
i was pretty tired by the end of it, i didn't have enough oomph to really get a lot of the quack grass and edge done as i would have liked but i also don't want to overdo it and put myself out of commission for a while either to recover. gotta work back into the routine.

i was not wrong about the end of the pathway being a real booger.
but first today i went out and took the loppers and a cultivator with me to see if i could get the chunk of dead tree leaning against the maple tree to finish coming down. nope. it's wedged by the stump it came from and also...
