    Black Walnuts!

Hickory nuts are a pain to crack and remove, but delicious when used in any recipe just like walnuts. I think the hickory nuts taste a bit more buttery. LATER: Or was that my butternuts I'm remembering. Either way, hickory nuts are well worth the work 'freeing' them from their shells. I like...

    Dreaming...

I am living proof that it never hurts to try. We put a bid on a property that the real estate agent said was lower than bids the owner had turned down. Our luck, the man's uncle had just passed and left him what wealth he'd had. The man took our offer, just happy to have the house sold.

Survey to see what kind of prepper you are.

Given the flexibility, I would have different answers to many of the questions. For someone already living in a rural area with smaller towns around rather than big urban spaces, the problems may not be the same. For someone with space for foraging and hunting as well as a spring fed water...

    Hello from Portland, Oregon

I am not from the area, but I have memories of a misspent year in your beautiful city. Never did get used to the winter drizzle, but spring was awe inspiring to someone arriving to the city after the March blizzards and cold of south-est, central-est Wisconsin. I know the City looks nothing...
