Its not that they are not giving people needed items. Sometimes, certain clothes or food items are not what they need. It is better for them to sell it and buy what they need. Charities have better buying power than an individual. They can buy at a much lower rate.
If asked, places prefer...
Oh, the state's money woos are way more complicated than were they do and don't spend their money. One thing I would like to point out is that our debt was only about $2 billion last fiscal year. The almost year long debate over the budget is why it was racked up so high. I wish the...
The reason most places sale what they donate is to make money go farther. A coat is a coat. A coat sold for $10 can be turned into $50 or $100. Also, Goodwill Industries main goal is job training and creation.
You should call your congressman. It is much easier than most people think. They have to take your message to your rep. Think I will start calling mine more often.
My mom just went to NC earlier this year. She was surprised that there was no sidewalks or paved shoulders even in the city...
I love the day after Thanksgiving sales, too. Last year, I rode my bike to the mall (only had to get a few small items.) Had a parking spot right up front. Also, got in and out of the parking lot faster than anyone  Its fun watching people stare at you as you pedal past a long line of cars.

How much longer is the auction. You may want to just watch it and then snatch it up at the end. If you bid too soon, the other person will just continue to outbid you. This will just drive the price up. Besides, I am sure that not many people know about the site. Someone else may not bid...
Here's another one www.thelittleusedstore.com (Sorry, if the links don't work. You may have to cut and paste.) This site offers a lot of items at set prices for not very much.
Here is another site. www.shophousingworks.com It is a charity out of NYC. It also is auction. More higher end clothing items. Still, reasonable prices.
No more chit chat!!! Hhhmmm!!! Assume everyone is shopping at Goodwill. Maybe I opened up a can of worms?? Checkout the car in Takoma under transportation.
Just discovered Goodwill online. I agree you have to know what you are buying. Have been looking at other online consignment stores. Seems that they are just for those trying to buy highend designer at discount. Say a blouse for $100 instead of $550. Not much of a deal for the rest of us...
The website is www.shopgoodwill.com.
Shipping depends on how close the item is being sent. I bought the drill for $5 and shipping was $14. I live in CA and it was shipped from OH. This may sound like quite a bit. But there are willing to bundel items if bought from the same Goodwill store...
