I need an outdoor oven. DIY idea

I have an outside oven also, and I love it. People around here have old gas stoves...and many have the apartment size. My stove in my house is an old O'Keefe and Merritt...and we found another in a house someone was abandoning (couldn't make the payments) so we asked and they let us take the...

I have 5 BO's that are two years old. I had started with 10 but sold/traded half of them. I also have a silver sussex and a light sussex and a marans hen that are 1 1/2 years old. My next generation are all about 5 to 8 months old. I have 2 marans hens (daughters of the above marans hen), 2...

The silkies are miracle workers when it comes to hatching but these eggs...well the silkies would have needed magical abilities. The lady had said her roo was old and that fertility would be low. She was spot on. I did eggtopsy all the eggs this morning. They were all infertile and showed no...

    CheerioLounge - Desert Dreamin'

Half of my hens are second year layers. The other half are just now starting. So to my way of thinking, I would like to continue on like this, each year hatching my hens that would be next year's layers, retaining the last year's hens, and stewing the 2 year olds. That said, it will be...

Soooo many good ideas. Scotch eggs I am going to look up - I have no idea what those are. Caramel custard? Is that anything like flan? And pasta, I am definitely making pasta. I happen to be in possession of some avocados. I think I am going to test PinkFox's idea of using the avocado in place...

That is what we did last time...made a ton of deviled eggs and took them to a party. They dissappeared in minutes. The little eggs make nice deviled eggs because you can politely stuff a whole one in your mouth and not look too greedy. However, I am trying to shed about a million pounds so that...

    Help head lice!!!

I wanted to add one thing: DONT use those sprays for the furniture. Not that it will hurt the furniture but rather, you are spraying a dangerous chemical on your furniture. It then dries into a fine dust. Your child breathes it in. At the very least, the spray can cause serious asthma symptoms...

I have started on this self sufficiency journey. And for me self sufficiency is holding hands with poverty. So my journey is not as the crow flies but rather it wends and weaves depending on what presents itself. Someone was kind enough to drop off a some oranges at my house last night. Looks...

I love white with barn red (that is the color scheme on my house;)). I imagine if you go with a softer white, it would have a nice retro feel to it.
