    Meat Glue. . . Mmmm!

Nothing says "you care" like meat glue. http://www.icenews.is/index.php/2010/02/22/sweden-finds-meat-glue-unsavoury/ .. parts fused to produce what appears to be a whole fillet.. it looks like real meat. It is the dishonesty in it that makes us think that it is not okay...

    scary dream

I don't want to frighten anyone with this dream that came true: I had come home and it looked like rain so I rolled up the windows on the car. I was very tired and took a nap. I dreamed that a little bird flew in and pooped on my car seat. I woke remembering the dream but knowing that I had...

    Plant Food Experiment...Now I Stink!!

This was so funny! I soooo understand about the fish smell! I worked a second job at a seafood counter. My first day the boss said I would never get the fish smell out of my clothes, but that she was told Oxyclean would remove the odor. We wore latex gloves to handle the fish so I never got...

    home made dehydrator?

Could you go into more detail on dehydrating mashed pintos? Are those stored in jars where you remove amount needed? Are they dried globs or more powdered or spread on a sheet so they are flat layers? I never heard of this and would love to try the mashed beans.

    Feeling the season coming!!!

We've had ice on top of the persistent snow pack for the last two days. Ice caused our entire region to lose power yesterday and again early this morning. March 14th is daylight savings so I better hurry up and get the spring fever. :P

    Top 10 Toxic Products

#8 is interesting. I bought a wing back chair at a garage sale for $35 because the seller didn't like the fact that it was down filled. They thought this vintage chair with down wasn't as bouncy springy as the foam chair they had at $75, so priced accordingly at $50. When they put it that way I...

Would you go back to this vet?

Holy Cow! Some of these stories are so disturbing that it makes mine seem like needless whining. :hide I sent my letter of complaint earlier today. She's due for Heartgard next week so I assume that I will know where I stand after that call. I am definitely getting a new vet. I don't want...

Wal-Mart Mishap, would you demand a refund, or free item?

I would have brought it home for pure entertainment! I've seen something about stupidly decorated cakes recently and if I could have made a buck from the publicity of this one I would have. But the question posed was: demand refund or free item? I would take it and see which of those they...

    XPC - Tell Tales

I have time to type another one. When I was 30 I decided to do a portion of the Appalachian Trail beginning in late April. I had studied edible plants for years, felt that I could give existing on wild plants a genuine try. I am vegetarian so it was no big sacrifice. I packed a backpack with...

Has anyone made windows from old bottles?

I thought I remembered someone talking about melting bottles on here: http://www.sufficientself.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1934 Pretty cool- used a kiln.

Has anyone made windows from old bottles?

Do you have a kiln? It appears that slumping bottles requires one from the high temps needed. http://www.glass-fusing-made-easy.com/slumping-bottles.html I hope it can be done without a kiln because I'd like to experiment with it, now that you've brought it to my attention!

Would you go back to this vet?

I am not near you- I had inquired about the chainlink fence earlier and determined that we were quite a distance away. However if I am not successful in my general area I will PM you for your vet's address. Thank you!

Would you go back to this vet?

The thing is that this was my second vet group. I left the first clinic because that vet got to the point where he wouldn't say hi to my other dog or hardly touch her. His practice exploded in size and he moved to a giant building without taking on another vet to pick up the slack. The creepy...

Would you go back to this vet?

Letter of Complaint is drawn and printed. Thanks for the suggestion. Also, all who suggest the large animal vet (Lupin & BB) for referrals- that is a great idea. They would be the very last to recommend "spaying that milk cow", lol. They get it, don't they?

Would you go back to this vet?

Yeah, WZ & BB, the "special" high corn diet but in smaller portions, no doubt. Pure profit AND guaranteed repeat trips to the vet. What a deal.
