I hope you can get some answers about your ankle! What an annoyance to have to deal with pain everyday!
Several months ago I rolled my left foot and the outer part of my foot has caused me pain off and on the whole time. Sometimes it will even have a bruise. I really need to get it checked...
This cool weather is wonderful, but it has caught me unprepared. I am glad we are supposed to be back in the 60's in the next day or 2.
I still have to build somewhere for Pat to get out of the weather. I need to clean out the dwarf hutch house so they can start going in there again...
Look for most commercial banks to start charging for debit transactions or even for having a checking account. The Durbin Amendment in Congress reduced drastically the amount merchants are charged for using the credit card system, thus drastically reducing the income for financial institutions...
Had a busy day today. This morning I transplanted my broccoli and cabbage and cleaned out the chicken houses / under the rabbit hutches.
Then it was time for some fun! I loaded up Rio and Rags and took them to Barktoberfest. Every year the Humane Society puts on a "Barktoberfest" at the...
HA so I guess it is content of the posts, not the title, that determine the banners - because I have a "no obligation career assessment" offer to find out if golf is the career for me
It is storming here.. but I thought I would post a few pics of the golf tourney, mostly just because it...
:lau golf - the sport with something for everyone
I have to change my journal title so I will stop getting the ads for "Pebble Beach" "Virtual Golf Lesson" etc lol
Just read about a listeria outbreak from cantaloupe grown in Colorado. Sure wish I could get some sort of melon to grow...
if you wait until things are "set in stone" then you miss out on lots of prayers and encouragement. It isn't a burden or an effort for us to care!
Hope things work out for the best!
re: the chicken carcasses - if you aren't making more stock, scrape off what meat you can / want and then toss them in to your chickens. Mine pick the bones clean of our T'giving turkey :D
I walked outside to a very quiet backyard. The big flock of chickens were in their house (and Bo the BR roo with them). The 2 red roos were under their shelter and Pat was in her nesting suite. My eyes automatically went to the sky and it was only a few seconds before I saw a juvenile hawk...
LOL too much rat talk.... I think last report she was seen running across West Virginia waving her arms and screaming for SOMEBODY to "Do something"
lol
I might have had a better time but I was on a golf cart with my sister for 5hrs... kind of an eternity.
Gina - my nephew knocks the snot out of the ball... just barely swinging. He is really good. The poor kid he was playing had to hit 2-3 times to get as far down the fairway as J did on his...
I am going to get my calendar down and pencil in "Sleep" for at least one day this week!!
Last night I worked out in the gym, got home to tend the animals, slept for 4 hours and was up at 530 getting the animals set for the day and heading out to the Naval Air Station for my nephew's 18-hole...
Rats are yet another area I had a very confused childhood
I had pet rats - the white ones. I had Mickey, Minnie and Rooney (true story lol). When Hurricane Elena came through, I had 23 rats, 2 dogs and a cat in my room with me (I insisted they needed to stay in the house, so my folks...
Good to hear he is feelig a little better. Buford would eat chicken and rice when he wouldn't eat anything else... and it's nice and bland for old, blah feeling tummies
Whew I'm tired! Today was the first day since surgery where I have worked hard most of the day in the yard. I had imagined reading somewhere it was supposed to be cool today - but it was in the upper 80s with an index in the mid-90s. My 13yr old nephew came over and helped me dig holes for 3...
I can't remember the technical name... but my dog had severe stroke like symptoms and it was "Old Dog Syndrome" - a very intense vertigo. Buford's head would tremor and his eyeballs twitch back and forth. There was no real treatment, but over about 5 days he got steadily better.
Thoughts and...
