I have a Mirro 22qt and it works great! I love how all you need is the weights and don't have to try and regulate the gauge yourself. it was really easy to learn to use for a beginner. I don't think it's regualted for a glass top stove but I use it on mine anyway and haven't had any problems...
:hide I bought some of the cheepie china jars... I really liked the smooth sides with no imprinted advertising for whichever company made them. I like to store many of my jars on top of my cabinets for extra storage plus it looks really pretty... but it does look nicer than the ball jars you can...

I love my glass top... of course I never follow directions to it and use all the things that are a big No No! hahaha
I use my cast iron pots pans and griddle (although the griddle doesn't heat up as evenly over the 2 burners as I would like...) Never had a problem with scratching

I so agree!!!!!!!!!! I used to hate honey... I had only tried to junk from the grocery store... (found out they feed the bees corn syrup so the honey they store up has corn syrup in it... the company doesn't have to state that as an ingredient since they don't put it in the bees do!!!) anyhow...
man that broody is so cute! "go chickie mama!" The buns are adorable as well!
As for the garden that sounds like a wonderful project! bet it will be beautiful... you could even use some of the garden space to plant an edible garden or plants... like flowering fruit trees, I have some cherry...
