Beans are up and looking good! It's still a little early for blossoms, but I'm waiting anxiously!
I did spend a little bit of time weeding and mulching yesterday in the cream pea bed. It didn't get much attention earlier, so I tried to catch it up yesterday.
Garden this year is happening...
There was some brief street flooding in some parts of Houston - but not a huge event. We're south of Houston and even though one area fairly close to us got 5 inches it seems like we topped the list. Glad it didn't decide to stick around!
No idea - but that's probably how everything got so run down. Full-time outside jobs are only good for one thing on the farm - income!
Holy Cow! We were expecting some rain - but dang! We got a whopping SEVEN inches in about 2 hours. Crazy for sure! Didn't do much of anything outside...
Love some baked beans! I need to do some more of those.
DH would love me to put a bunch of spice in the charro beans but I tend to adjust them to MY comfort level. He can always add more spice to his, lol.
Planted cucumbers and honey nut butternut squash. Put them both in big tubs next to a fence so they can climb. Never planted a winter squash in a container, but it's a big container. :fl
Busy day yesterday and today will be the same. Neurosurgeon visit yesterday morning. Told him about the intermittent recurrence of symptoms. Not really a whole lot that can be done at this point. The shunt is working and taking off excess CSF fluid, but sometimes there's a buildup that...
Mulberries are coming on! You should see my stained up fingers, lol. Tomorrow morning I'll spread a sheet out and shake the tree. Probably put some in the dehydrator...so good!
