The grain fed isn't really. It's grain finished the last couple months. All the cattle are on pasture here up until finishing time. Guy at the end of the road sells cattle to them.
Yes It's hanging weight.
I get everything I can. I render the beef fat. Can get the tail, heart, and all the liver because most dont want it. Sometimes they've tossed in extra hearts
This is the butcher we use when we actually get half a beef at their current prices. Locally raised cattle. Its much cheaper than the butcher where my Mom lives.

Hubby used to answer "Bill's mortuary. You stab 'em we slab 'em."

I need to dress like the year 2000 and carry around the ancient LG flip phone I found in the junk drawer. Just wander looking confused and like I'm trying to get a signal
Great Uncle had one of those train to saddle way back when. Had a small herd of them that was kept. Mom says great aunt still has a few there. Her 1st cousin's husband will probably keep them, too. He runs the farm now.
They use Turn Signals where you are?
The tweekers and car thieves are also abundant here and they drive insane. We sometimes have to drive Canyon Road which is Puyallup/Tacoma. Lots of big rigs who speed and run red lights. Always accidents there.
We stay away from Seattle as much as...
