Ugh... Broke and struggling... Ideas anyone?

ok, I'm relieved - it sounds more like a temporary cash crisis than necessarily long term. and I'm one to talk about planning, I just "accidentally" took in two stray kittens that will be rather expensive in the long run with neutering. two more thoughts: are father's parents around at all...

yuck yuck yuck yesterday I noticed the sole banty had feet in terrible shape - she is a rescue with feathered feet and I've never been successful at eradicating the leg mites with her despite strong drugs, daily topical treatments, etc. So after about 6 months or so, I gave up and resorted to...

Ugh... Broke and struggling... Ideas anyone?

would add just one thing: don't invest any more money into supplies for soaps or such right now, you need to dig yourself out of the hole you are in. Once you have a stash of cash from babysitting, errand running, housecleaning, etc, then...you can start gambling with making products...

The soup was good! a bit bland, but more salt and fresh ground pepper helped. I went online and looked for info about it, sounded like everyone who ever made it/had it/whose grandma made it had a north dakota connection. The chicken arrivals went fine - there has been the "to be...

Javamama, and there isn't any seasoning in your family's soup either? I'm just about to start grating onions for the soup, makes my eyes smart just to think about it. guess there is a reason to grate them instead of mincing, so I'll grate away. AL, in a couple of months I'll be so jealous...

Assorted poultry question New question, page 4

if she is just starting to lay, it wouldn't be unusual for her to have a few abnormal eggs - but.....if she continues to lay shell-less eggs, she might be prone to "reproductive difficulties" and could be a short-lived hen. how old do you think she is?

yowser yowser, soooo much to get done. time to plant garlic, think I can do that this weekend while I am keeping an eye out on the new chickens. and if I was any kind of housekeeper, which I am not, I would be tackling that pile of dishes on the counter, but....that looks to me like a sat...
