i am purely delighted to be doing laundry (snarkazm if you didn't notice :) ). my pillows and the pillow cases i use have needed it for a while now so they finally got a good wash... some of my blankets and covers could use a wash but until i'm done with bean shelling and sorting it is kinda...

we had thunder and lightning but i slept through some of it. when i woke up at various times during the night it was raining. i haven't checked the rain gauge yet but it is probably about an inch full.

with potential frosts in the forecast today will be pepper picking day and then i'll probably get some or all of them cleaned up, chunked and frozen for chili. i've not looked at the plants in a few weeks so there might be none, a little or a lot to deal with.

almost 30yrs and counting, but fall of 2011 was when we replaced roof and hoped to have it all set. since then just these little intermittent leaks that have taken way too long to get taken care of, but sometimes it has taken almost a few years between leaks so...

it started raining last night and every time i've woken up it has been raining. we've really needed a good soaker so this is very welcome, plus, i can enjoy a day off from gardening and other outside "issues"... :) :) :) as a bonus no leaks in the roof noticed as of yet.

if your power company provides an hourly energy usage report pull it up once in a while and check to see if it has changed much. when i've had issues with the well pump running too often this has helped me compare "before" and "after" to see when the change has happened. also they usually have...
