I can't plant in the ground here. Too many moles and other underground varmints ruin the landscape.

I soaked bowls and bowls of black beans. For a bit too long, but they were aok. Canned up four quarts. Two of them didn't seal!! I can reprocess, but I think I'll throw them into zip bags into the freezer. I add beans to lots of my recipes. Just to stretch the meat a bit.

We got 0.85 inches of rain yesterday. No cloud breaks either!!

I found some Orange Roughy on clearance at Safeway. Haven't seen it in many years. So I looked it up. Its been overfished and contains too much mercury for kids/preg women. These two 70 yr olds don't care about that for one meal. Going to make soft fish tacos tonite.
