I talked to my sis and Mother in San Jose yesterday. It was a gully washer for sure!!

Our food bank where I volunteer, stopped buying eggs from the wholesaler three weeks ago. We've gotten some complaints that we always give out eggs....not any longer, dear client!

The 2018 washer that we bought from the house sellers here, broke. The struts are going out. So to fix it is $676 or to buy the exact same Maytag is $828. What did I do? I'm going to fix the struts myself with hubs help. For $115. Can the vacuum be repaired? What is wrong with it?

I finally trimmed heavily, and stuck the sticks into some dirt in pots. I've got them all in the greenhouse. Lets see if they root! I've not done anything with the tubers yet.

I found oxtails at Safeway. Too pricey for my purse.

I'm not buying new seeds this year. I'm going to clean up my old ones. I have A LOT!! Plus I worry about water. This January has been the driest one since 2011. Not good.

Last night was four jars of 2021 home canned food. 1. quart of ham and veggie soup 2. pint of lentil soup 3. pint of diced tomatoes 4. pint of cooked pork. Mixed all together, simmered for a while, adjusted spices, and served with plain bagels with cheese on top. YUMMY!!!

I've never cooked oxtails. Don't think i"ve noticed them in the stores either.

I could not afford the water for that much. It doesn't rain here in the summer/fall anymore.

I have two plum trees and a nectarine. They were from Stark's and are only four years old. I'm to hold off on trimming them until just before spring. We might get a sprinkling of our first snow this coming week, and spring is quite a ways off. The two figs won't be trimmed as they are tiny...
