Abusers of the systems, yeah. Worst part of doing Toys for Tots distributions over the years was overhearing the people in line discussing techniques for scamming the charities in town for toys to then take to Walmart to return for cash. The truly grateful got represented less and less each year

Picking up Friday

Last night, wife made a pot pie type dish in the slow cooker with gnocchi added at the end. Very tasty.

CPAP Machine is dying, good sleep is not happening. Replacement device in the supplier pipeline

Hallway baseboard painted. Need to install a new bracket for the handrail. Everything taped up for the final bit of painting. Oh yeah still need to deal with those black walnuts

I know, I know. We agree if it's something I alone eat, she won't fuss at the date. It's not like we are in her home state with oppressive heat ruining everything

A local restaurant does eggplant fries. I tried my own using parm and nutritional yeast and deep fried, it was close.

I forget, have you done the fathead crusts? There are new recipes that are still low carb and not as "eggy" tasting. I have yet to try the minced chicken based crusts, but supposedly they are really good

I miss GOOD Chinese food locally.

We've been juggling the household grocery stuff for a few months to pay for some unplanned expenses and to draw down the older items in the larder and not buy extra supplies (wife is a huge stickler on expiration dates, me, not so much). Going to be an expensive few weeks. The 6 month coffee...
