Lucky you. Keep that baby going. I dry lots of garden produce so I don`t have to run to town for anything when I want soup! Lucky you!
I got married in Colfax. It was on a hill. Was called the Hermitage @ the time!
I love mine. Have apples in it @ this time. The only problem with it (also in their pamphlet) is the door falls off. Sit it so it will not fall on the floor. See if you can get them to lower the price but I think it is worth it if it is new or like new.
Love my tomatoes dried in it.

I have had friends do this for years. They have a great garden. Where they grow their plants they have heavy duty black plastic. Every year they rotate the plastic to the next bed. It has been very successful. Sounds like a lot of exrta work to me though. But I envy their lovely gardens.
I roasted my tomatoes with garlic,onions sometimes peppers, olive oil,herbs, salt and pepper. Put them in a roaster pan, bake @ about 400 degrees until nicely done and some liquid dissapates. Even with the skins..I did whirl some in the processor for soup. Then canned them. Delicious!
