Welcome from VA... Self sufficiency came from grands & parents backgrounds. Back then it wasn't "self sufficient" it was survival & how life was. 😁 Grow it, make it or do without. Lessons learned & loved it.

Karma at work! Shame some were lost but, at least these weren't!! I had no garden this yr. Thankful for those canned from 2024. This year garden a must. It'll be a heavy canning year, too. Thankfully I'm good with empty jars & stockpile of lids!! I'll just need extra hours in some days😋

Enjoying a warmer, more normal morning temps than the heavy frost yesterday. Sunshine cleared it fast yesterday. Today some overcast but, they say no sprinkles. Good! Coffee hot and wake up strong. I'm wanting toast and no bread🥴 Guess I'll make some in a while.
