Warmed up to 40 today. Some thawing. Enough that the huge blocks of ice in water tubs got dumped! Got them all cleaned out & refilled. Happy animals! 😄 Just fed early for tonight so I could come in & relax with hot tea & Aleve! Tossed all night. Sore, sleepy, tired. Didn't go to work...

Yeah, we're single digits feel likes this morn. Warming starts. Above freezing today and 40-50 all week start tomorrow. I am sooo thankful!! 😁 March is only 20 days away!! Hope better weather :lol:

A baked sweet potato.

Boston butt in oven. Sweet potatoes will go in shortly. Thinking a jar of the canned baked beans will be added since oven is on. Then they'll be eaten during the week. I'm working most days, lunches & ready meals works well. 😀 Have half a baked chicken to devour in the mix.

Too cold for this mom, too!! But animals need food & water...you grit your teeth and do it. :th Now optional things, nope...ya don't do those. 😁 Only 20 days until March!

It's ok....they say starting Tues well be upper 40 & low 50 for a week. Hope they're not lying 🤣. Weeks of mostly below freezing is old. I'm so ready for spring to happen

Oregano oil!! It works well on fungi. It's antibiotic, so add a few drops to my chickens water keeps them doing well. It's strong, so dilation is needed to use by mouth. Garlic & onion. Huge benefits. Eat it!! Immune booster. Comfrey. I grow & feed limited amounts to chickens & goats on...

Chicken roasting in oven. Just added some potatoes, later i'll put this pan of olive oil brushed cabbage slices to roast. Have a loaf in bread machine working. It's a cooking day 😁 definitely doing a cake, too. Lots of eggs to use up, so a pound cake.....probably some egg salad, too. 😳

Laste days rain yesterday became an inch of wet snow. Came and went fast. I was at a store working when it got dark because I started late in the day -- noon. But walked out at 6 to fine it snowing hard and my red truck had white all over top parts. 😳 Not expecting that 🤣 It's an ugly snow...

Sure sounds good. I can do spicy but, not the burn for hours stuff. The milder jalapenos are nice -- all the flavor without all the burn. 👍 I like those stuffed with goat cheese.

Fri, so work. But weekend off -- what do I get? Frigid weather!! 😡 Big north winds, polar cold, predicting single digits again. More than my share of this!

I had a pan meal...pork chop, diced potatoes in oven. Heated corn in a pan in oven, too. Potatoes & corn prev canned. Chop fm freezer. No grocery shopping. 👍

Back to work -- sure changes your routines. Less lazy time. Chores, coffee, move it along faster. 🤣. Home...chores, then feed myself! Life in the fast lane still.

Hot tea, cream/ sugar. Black coffee & 3 cookies, out the door on way to work. :lol:

@murphysranch enjoy it while you can!! Even a day of 43* was terrific here. Been super cold past 2 weeks.

I've got 2 hens who went broody in past 5 days! Too early for that...too cold for Feb chicks! IMO. 🤣 One has no eggs & one has cornered 2 that she's daring me to snatch! She hatched 5 for me last yr.
