me too, not that i can't use the exercise but i've been so busy the past few weeks with all sorts of other things that the time i'd have to use to shovel is a bit more tight than i'd like. glad tax season is now done and i can get back to beaning. :)

we had bean burritoes last night for dinner and Mom made more potato soup with and without ham to use up some ham, celery, carrots, potatoes, ... all good basic eats. :)

we've had some grackles here for about a week and a half now - the redwings normally show up at that same time.

we have very limited space for storage so i don't keep more than a few dozen cases at a time but it is also my closet for some clothes and also our pantry for baking supplies and other extras we can fit in there so it gets rather challenging. also when you consider you need extra space to store...

at least they have changed the forecast for snow for tonight and tomorrow so that it might not be that much after all. we'll see...

oh wow, those poor folks in the Rockies could sure use a massive atmospheric river right now to get those reservoirs refilled again both Lake Powell and Lake Mead are very low (and the snowpack this year is so far not very good either).

they got us down for snow this weekend and it is snowing now but supposed to change to rain through the day and then back to snow this evening. the worst is due this weekend with up to 5 inches in the forecast but i'd say it is a roll of the dice as to how much we'll actually get...

this is not unusual for this time of year this far north. we can have frosts into May.

water was over the road that night and through the morning. this seems to happen every few years. a very bad design for the drain they have installed which comes under the road at the corner and then runs under (yes, that's how it is designed) another ditch which has washed away all the dirt...

we see a lot of deer along the roads here but they keep making plenty more...

snow is back in our forecast... rains the other night put water over the road. i guess we're done with the drought now for a few weeks...
