Well pooh! I hadn't checked for a while, but it had been like $6 or $7 in the past. Maybe they think people will buy more than one box so that heavy shipping for 6 boxes doesn't feel as nasty as it is for one box. :)

:D Well now that *does* seem like a good way to keep those nasty germs away!! I found out a few days ago that the first local case showed up now... hopefully they have it contained/quarantined.

Ouch for any vehicles that are outside when golf ball sized hail is falling! I've seen hail in my lifetime but never that big.

That's a good bottom line for all this, I think. I have witnessed some pretty horrid health problems in friends when they thought they were doing something good by cutting out [fill in the culprit food group] completely.

I learned yesterday that all wasabi is NOT the same. I picked up a pack of sushi at the supermarket instead of the restaurant stuff I usually get... and that packet of wasabi in there was *wicked!* :)

From the wee bit of experience I've had with them and have heard about, that's a very good phrase indeed!

You're not kidding here... I've seen newspapers from eras past and it's unbelievable the things they were able to get away with... the labels.

Yeah, it truly stinks. I probably would have eventually tried some for my daughter, too... I'm not even sure I want to keep using the OTC stuff I do already have.

I've always loved cooking... it's just that it got "too easy" over the last few years. My biggest bugaboo is side dishes. When I make homemade stuffing or fried potatoes or mac and cheese, it's soooo much better than processed but takes an hour vs. 15 minutes. I just have to free up more...

Unfortunately the same has happened to me over the last few years. Things I used to make from scratch suddenly became much easier to just buy pre-packaged in all their processed glory. :( So yeah, I'm working on that one, too.

Good point... and yes, I heard this. More and more medications, whether "natural" or not, have been causing all kinds of horrid problems. Just because something is deemed "safe" doesn't mean that its real effects won't be found ten years from now. Scary stuff. :(

Are you doing anything special to keep the swine flu... or at least spring colds, away from your family?

Anyone watch television, especially from other countries, on the computer? I wish I'd have a faster connection because that would be a lot of fun! Sometimes I can get snatches but I'd like to be able to watch the whole shows with a faster connection. :)

I rarely turn the television on anymore. The weather channel once in a while... the news more rarely and only when something's going on. Last time was the shooting at the Holocaust Museum. If I've had a really bad day, (if this gets out, my rep will be totally shattered! hehe), I watch...

What will you all be doing for Dad's day on Sunday? Nothing in particular here but my daughter will present a gift and we'll have a special meal. We're going on a mini road trip the following week, so we'll call that part of Father's Day, too.
