I'm hoping to use the poop in the garden. I have in mind a kind of gutter system under the cages made from 55 gal drum halves, so i can wash it out daily with the hose. I'm also not looking to make friends with the bunnies, just meat and money, so i am gonna put them in raised cages in a barn.

thanks for the encouraging words! I'm cleaning out a small barn that was on the property when we bought it. It's about 12 by 15. I've got to seal it up and get some cages built, and then it'll be bunny-buying time. the journal is a great idea, let me collect my thoughts and i'll start soon...

I couldnt find any threads on rabbits, so i'm asking for any information I can get on raising rabbits for food, and to sell for a profit. does anyone here raise rabbits? any suggestions on best breeds? what about selling the pelts? are startup costs high? anything to beware of? any...

Georgia allows handgun hunting, but requires a certain muzzle velocity, which my ruger blackhawk .357 with a 6&1/2" barrel met. so i did try deer hunting with it a coupla times. no results, though

all the animals you mentioned are plant eaters, so they pretty much poop degraided grass. they also only drink water from the time they are thru nursing, so their pee contains only the impurities that a plant-eating-water-drinking animal would have in them. SO, my questions are...

i try to buy from the local, hometown businessman as much as possible, because most of them are my neighbors, and if their store fails because their neighbors "save a quarter" by going to walmart, then we kinda let our neighbor down, didn't we?

we were selling 5 gallon buckets at a flea market once, getting a quarter each, with the lid. a lady came up and bought all we had. she had a catering business, and she used the buckets to transport dishes

We use the coffee containers for paint storage, and for scooping dog food. also if we take our dogs with us on a trip they are great for taking the dog food with us. they are great in a kayak for bailing water. they are also great for keeping my grandsons small toys in. he also likes to play...
