We are between 3a and 3 b zones here where I am in Minnesota.... and to make matters worse, we don't actually have seasons because it has snowed in every month here. Mother nature hates us I guess. It REALLY wears a person down, let me tell ya. Thankfully our forecast DID lighten on our amount...

It is most certainly not normal to this extent. :/ it was 21 degrees and sunny and I was out in a long sleeved shirt and vest... It felt NICE. It had been soooo cold with no sun that I didn't know it wasn't warmer.

We have yet to actually see spring :hit:hit:hit Still stuck below freezing mostly and another upwards of 14" predicted for the weekend... :th BUT today is supposed to hit low 40's FINALLY. We were back at 0* over the weekend again. :idunno Mother Nature has abandoned us and left us to freeze. :rant

The worst part is we have a variety of breeds... Cinnamon queens, Easter Eggers, Icelandics, Amber link and polish. We had a Faverolle in the mix too (I think that's everyone...). I thought the ducks were gonna start laying before the hens. :\ I think it was NH Homesteader who made a comment...

At 2 weeks shy of a year old my chickens have FINALLY decided to give me their first eggs! :celebrate Starting on Easter of all days :lol: Which was also April fools. In one week we got a dozen eggs and just yesterday we got three more! Out of 8 or 9 hens, that seems good to me.

We did! I went up to her to get the larger drawing autographed for me, I'd already given the drawing for her to her sister in law earlier in the day. She gasped and got excited that I was the artist. Asked if I drew for a living and then said I should if I don't. I told her it was a funny story...

The concert was amazing.... Words can't even describe it. I was honored to meet all three of the artists. Humiliated myself yet again in front of Sara Evans but why not.... :lol: Pretty sure I left a lasting impression....

Some areas are pushing for teachers to be allowed to carry guns. The BEST line of defense is allowing those on the front line between our kids and the bad guy to have a weapon. Look at the teachers who died shielding kids with their bodies in Florida. Tell me that one of them being armed...

Thank you soooo much! That drawing of the little girl just got me Meet and greets to a concert I am taking my mom to in March! SUPER excited about that! I wasn't expecting it and was offered them. I am over the moon excited and my mom flipped out and choked up over it.
