    WHAT ARE YOU CANNING TODAY?

Have chicken thighs in the canner right now. Ground beef will be next - probably tomorrow. The plan is to butcher a pig this weekend - if it ever stops raining - and I need freezer room. May can some piggy meat too.

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Definitely! We've been in drought also, so it is much needed and appreciated. Don't love the mud, but it's a necessary evil in these circumstances.

Does he have bald patches? Or just shedding? Some goats have quite an undercoat and will shed off (or get brushed out) in the spring.

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Up fairly early this morning. Had a couple cups of coffee before going outside. Goat is milked and other critters are fed, including the fish. Lotsa things to do. One more cuppa and I'll head back outside before it gets much warmer.

G'marny - as my grandson would have said a little over 18 years ago! Coffee is life-saving this morning. Interrupted sleep was the norm last night - all night long. But, gotta get up and at it this morning. Back to adding dirt to the beds today. I'll be so glad when I finally get this job...
