    Pretty Labels

Computers and printers can be a pain. I've had 3 printers and two of them quit working shortly after getting them out of the box, but one has stood the test of time. It still gives me grief, but it works. It's a lexmark lazer printer. :)

That's cool. My computer doesn't come with nifty things like that. :/ Wish it did though.

    Pretty Labels

I know. :) They're really cute little labels and they make things look a lot nicer and look like you put a heck of a lot more work into it than you did. There's also some paper flowers that are really great and easy to make (also some ones out of maple leaves too!) Want me to post those too?

    Pretty Labels

The labels would be more for selling things or gift giving than anything else. Plus with some of these, like the soap wrappers, you can recycle things instead of throwing them away.

Nah, not just ladies. They are sort of girly though. That's why I said ladies. Do you like pink? :D

    Pretty Labels

This one's not a canning label, but a neat idea none-the-less. A little DIY candy tin, anyone? http://www.inspiredbride.net/2009/08/17/do-it-yourself-project-sweet-treat-favor-tin/ Here's one that's just blank labels and another that is more for hand lotion or soap...

    WHAT ARE YOU CANNING TODAY?

http://www.sufficientself.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=103418#p103418 I found something you ladies may like. :D

    Pretty Labels

I wanted to share something I found as I know many of you ladies and gentlemen can things. I would like to as well, but don't have any jars at the moment. Anyway, I found some very lovely labels that you can put on the top of your cans. They would be great if you were planning on selling them...

    Neat Plant Starters

That's awesome. I may make a few of those too. It seems like the newspaper would degrade too quickly, but with the toilet paper rolls, they wouldn't. I've been looking for a few uses for those too. That and paper towel rolls.

QueenRed's Self Sufficient Journal of Doom! - More Strays!

Well, the potatoes didn't happen. They might have if I hadn't left them in the water so long that they rotted... I don't want to talk about it. I'm very upset with myself over that, but I'll try again. I'm not discouraged! (just embarrassed) An update on the cats. Loki still doesn't...

How do a person's political views relate to self sufficiency?

I know what goes on. I do not think that we need to send trillions of dollars overseas that go into the pockets of corrupt politicians and don't change anything. Plus having guilt for something that neither I nor you caused is ridiculous. We, the US, started as a few colonies and grew to what we...

QueenRed's Self Sufficient Journal of Doom! - More Strays!

I'm not sure which post you are referencing (I looked, but didn't see it). Maybe it's not that sociology is not my thing, it's that I do not agree with most sociologist and their opinions. I wish I could figure out what I was thinking about at the time and explain a little better. I'm thinking...

How do a person's political views relate to self sufficiency?

Not necessarily. If we fall, the 3rd world countries don't get the aid we send them. Have you heard any news from South Africa lately? I want to share a story with everyone from a lady from South Africa. She owns a farm out there and has a lot of land and animals. Well, her farm keeps getting...

How do a person's political views relate to self sufficiency?

I was talking more on a large scale, not as each individuals personal opinions or desires. I'm glad you have something you believe in strongly. We all should, but my point was directed on large scale, such as the entire population of a country and their norms.

How do a person's political views relate to self sufficiency?

I think it would be interesting as well. You got my point exactly. The differences can be caused by a lot of different factors, but looking on a large scale (like the whole of a people in a country) there will be a marked difference between them and people from another country based on...

How do a person's political views relate to self sufficiency?

Thanks for understand what I was saying. Each form of government will have its own economic problems and way of doing things. Capitalism is more along the lines of "Hey you should buy this!" not "Hey, instead of buying that why don't you try to make it yourself?" Some people weren't really...

How do a person's political views relate to self sufficiency?

No, that's not what I am saying. I'm saying the elements of society are more likely to be bigger in some instances (such as self sufficiency or dependency on electronics/grocery stores) dependent on the governmental entity in power. It's like what was said about communist nations. Their people...
