    SufficientSelf's Chicken Thread!!!

I have a question about breeding. We rehomed a mix roo last week, so our pretty white EE is again the only roo in the run with the EE girls. How long should I wait until I collect eggs for the incubator, just to be sure they're his and not the other guy's babies? I think I read 3 weeks, but I'm...

    Startin Seeds Indoors

    Startin Seeds Indoors

They don't actually need light until they sprout, so I wouldn't put them in the window until they break through the soil. I think they'll still come up just fine, though.

    Startin Seeds Indoors

I think they'll probably be just fine. They are all seed that comes up best in warm soil. I know a lot of people use heat mats to get their peppers and eggplants to germinate.

    Tomatoe Questions

Hi everyone, I'm new here but I thought I'd add my 2 worth. My tomatoes go out much earlier than yours would (in fact they've been in the garden for nearly 3 weeks here in zone 8a) but I start mine indoors, under lights, about 6 weeks before my last freeze date. I use newspaper pots, filled with...

    New from Texas

Hi everyone, I came over from TEG and had to join this forum too. Let me tell you a little bit about me, my family and our little farm: I'm a 33 year old stay at home mom, I have the most amazing husband (who builds things for a livivg...and for me) and we've been married for 15 years. We have 4...
