Yes You can grow top & bottom ...I had tomatoes & peppers in the bottom. Flowers in the top. Workes good. Cheryl

here is a planter DH made for the upside down planting. I keep a upside down water bottle stuck in the top for water. Here in Texas it dries out fast. these were made from scrap lumber from a fence company

Is it just the plants that die that they dump them and this is where the dirt comes from? I have a small town near here that is full of wholesale nurseys/growers I wonder if I could get some dirt from them ...Never thought of that. I also have chickens & goats ..

Thank you. I do the incense holders too useing a bottle mold kind of makes the bottle into a bowl shape and drill a hole for the stick. Sorry no pictures Yes a kiln is fun to play around with ....all used glass turns into something new. Cheryl

I like the donut shop idea .. and also wal-mart bakery will let you have buckets that frosting came in for like 25 to 50 cents around here. I always a few weeks ahead and ask them to save them... Guess they just cant give anything away :rolleyes: Wonder what they do with them other wise. Cheryl

Thanks Yes a kiln is used & a tile saw & Diamond drill bits It takes about 24 hours from start to finish to fire /melt bottles Thats after cleaning removing lables etc. Cheryl

we have always used them as party favors . roll wrapping paper around then tape or glue. put small toys/candy in then tie ribbon around the ends ...The kids love them. Cheryl
