Inverters are usually rated only enough power to do things like charge a cell phone or run a laptop computer. They definitely don't have enough power to run a major appliance, at least not the ones I have seen. Ya gotta figure your car battery and system only are set up to power small things, so...
There was another salsa recipe I remembered:
Finely chop cabbage, onion and cucumber.
Add chopped jalapeno, cilantro, lemon juice and salt. Mix well. Makes a crunchy salsa that is yummy and a different taste.
You can add ketchup and avocado and it makes a great spanish style cocktail sauce for...
Usually a crop damage permit will apply to "any animal" in the species you applied for the permit. I've read that they are pretty hard to get here in WA, but am tempted to try due to the damage to my garden!
I buy large jugs of Tropicana OJ. When we finish off the juice, I rinse them, put the lids on tightly, cut a hole in the side and fill with water....portable waterer for the chickens. I also fill them with water without a hole, put them in the freezer and use them for the ice chest. No watery...
We don't do the envelopes, but we do put our extra $$$ into savings. We also have a very large "change" vase. DH never uses his change, and I always end up with extra, so we toss it all into this lovely large glass vase we have. If we have a need for something not too spendy, but bills are paid...
After you use the pickle juice to make the pickled beets, add a little vinegar and then add the hard boiled eggs. Let sit for about two weeks in fridge. Turns the eggs a very pretty pink, and still good eating. The longer you leave them in the beet pickle juice, the deeper in the eggs get.
My salsa recipe:
1 can diced tomatoes
several cloves of garlic
1small to med. sized onion
half a bunch of cilantro
jalapenos in escabeche (to your own heat taste)
juice of half a lemon
salt to taste
chop all ingredients finely, or throw in a blender.
You can also can the above using cold...
It's made from a certain type of geranium. The cold and flu formula also has some other herbs as well. I am out of it right now, and can't remember what the other stuff is, but I have family who live all over Washington and some in Cali, and all of them swear by it.
Neem oil stinks to high heaven for about an hour, then the smell dissipates. It's a natural smell tho, so shouldn't hurt.
Who doesn't love venison? Those who don't know how to properly butcher and cook it. DH was that way, until he met me. We butcher "Grandma's way" and he loves venison now...
The problem is for deer hunting. All those oils will alert the animals, so it's not a good solution. However, the lotion with just neem oil may work.
I love venison, so a good solution to this problem works for me as well.
Health food store. Not cheap, very small bottle, but lasts a long while. For heavy insect exposure, put a drop on each shoulder and each foot, about an hour before the hunt. That gives time for the smell to dissipate.
We used it last night, same way, cuz the mosquitos are so bad. Worked good...
