best remedy I stumbled on by accident playing around with essential oils is a tiny dab of lemon eo directly on the bite. sometimes it stings for a second then no itching ever again. The relief is almost instant. should be able to get the same effects by making a pultice from lemon rind.

cider presses are pretty simple by nature, what they really do for you is speed up the process and make it easier. the process basicly involved pressing the apples and some screening to keep the chunks out. lots of ways to crush the apples :)
