So, I'm not sure of the prices of these type of things. I saw the ad and thought about using them for sprouts. Anyways, is that a good price?

It's about right. Can you find out if they were dried with heat or not? Lots of grains were, this wet year, so may not sprout too well. I'm having some difficulty with my barley. But at that price, it's no big deal if they don't sprout. I will pay $10-12 per 50 lb at the feedstore...but I haven't needed to pay that in a while. I've been paying around your price.

Be patient and give it a few more days than normal, if it doesn't sprout as quickly as usual.

Just be sure they weren't steamed and crimped- I don't think they will sprout. I buy those in the 50 lb bag for my chickies and once in awhile the horses get a handful.

He said that they were cleaned for sprouting. I'll have to see what all his cleaning entails.
