5 kids
4 bucks
one doe

I fed the goats, went up to the other barn to drag down a bale of hay for them since it was rainy----and come back 3 mins. later and ------3 does were down on the ground having kids at the same time. Shock..LOL

all are good. left them in the pasture for a while---then just got back from the kidding barn. everyone nursing, iodined and happy.

27 more mommas to blow any minute.

the 3 I swore would be last were first....ain't that always the way....the monster fat ones haven't kidded yet. ugh

I begged all the goats to keeps the kids inside them for the next 3-4 days. That way I can unload the kidding pens and put those goats out and use those pens. It gets tight when they all blow at once..LOL

weather decent so that helped (except the misty rain but warmer so kids dried fast)

well 2 1/2 mons. from now I will be getting a very nice check from the auction. Yippee

As long as the births are normal, that isn't too bad. It would be awful if there were problems.

Congratulations! :D

I hear ya! :)

I want bucks. For meat kids they are more valuable at ethnic holidays and grow faster than gals so I make more per lb. faster. I do always need a few replacement does, but those not perfect go to auction. I keep only the best..lol

but darn it, I always seem to just love a runt every now and then and have to keep it cause once I name it, ugh, the trouble begins..haha
