I'm upping my game baby steps at a time. My ingredients for an attempt at a Amber Oktoberfest, came in today
6lbs of light Pilsen Malt
1lb golden Vienna Malt
1lb Caramel Vienne Malt
1lb Caramel Munich Malt
2oz German Tradition Hopps
2 packages of German lager yeast.
This will be my biggest lager yet, still 5 gallons but a lot of fermentables. So much so, that I calculated 2 packs of yeast just to get this beer fired up fermenting. If my calculations are right it should be mighty tasty and around 8.5% ABV.
I might need to wear lederhosen when I brew this.
