Bean substitute? Quick Q

My son has requested baked bean, but I don't have any navy beans. I can use black eyed bean, right????

Yeah, beans taste pretty much the same anyway. Black eye peas(?) have a bit of a different taste though. I'd use another kind of bean myself, like pinto.

Thanks. My bag says black eyed beans, but probably the same. I'll see what other kind of beans I have downstairs. Do you think they will give it a weird taste? If so, I can just wait until I get some navy beans.
