alright BB

i have pulled a couple big burdock roots in the last couple days
what is the best way to process this for later use

the roots can be eated grated raw in salad or steamed or boiled, like in a stew, just as you might carrots. really good for you.

or dry them chopped and use to make a cleansing tea. They area a blood purifier and sometimes used for smoking detox.

Depends on how you want to use them. If I harvest any more I'm going to be freezing them, that way I can still make more oil over the winter if needed. You could dry them but since they are so woody dried isn't as affective in the oil, but probably just as affective in teas. I bet they would be awesome chopped and canned - but save the juice to drink. I had some smaller ones raw the other day, taste very similar to carrot, as Mackay said.

To clean them I just used a dry scrub brush to get all the dirt off and used as is.
