I am so sorry that she didn't make it. I have been through this sort of thing myself a few times. At least you can be comfortable in the knowledge, that you did everything you could do to take care of her.
You reached out to get the best help you could provide. There really is only so much any of us can do.
Those of us who have chickens, know how wonderful they can be and that they can make great pets.
