Is anybody a member at a woodworking shop? What kind of class ideas would interest members (beginners, intermediates, or advanced). We want to bring in more fun ideas to offer to our members at Philadelphia Woodworks and would also like to see what members would enjoy! Thanks in advance for your input.

JMHO, but I would think "Shop Built Jigs" would be a good topic. I know I'm always interested in how to make good qulity jigs to aide in my woodworking. I've found some good ones, and some not so good ones.

If it's a beginner class I would say lets build birdhouses. I love building them. If it's a more advanced class how about building Adirondack chairs? That would be a cool project and they would have cool chairs when done.

You make your own jigs? That is cool, I've only bought them. I would love to know how to make a great quality jig. They are so important, they guide and hold your project.

Since you're in Philadelphia, it would be interesting to have a class on specific types of chair legs, such as ball and claw, straight-legged and other styles that distinguish Philadelphia period pieces of fine antique furniture.
