This is our little 18 acre homestead here in southern IL. It's a strange place... that's way out in the country. Lots of weird unexplainable strange things happen around here. Nothing bad... But I just can't seem to put my finger on the strange things that happen...

The old farm house when we first moved in and looking north. My shop is on the right hand side - a new roof has since been put on the house.

The west side of the house also looking north.

Here's our back yard standing on a small back porch, also looking north. There's about 12 acres of fenced in pasture just on the other side of the creek shown in the tree line in the back of the picture. If you look beyond the tree line you'll see tan colored natural grass. It runs all the way to the second creek pretty far back thats not pictured.

Here's the east side of our property looking west. A few acres here also.

Nice place, Crealbilly! Very level, which I like. We also have 18 acres with 3 in meadow around the house, but the rest of ours is wooded and very little is level, except right around the house.

Your pink kid....does he take after you or your goodly wife? :D

Hi Crealbilly. Great pictures, not sure about your neighbors though! Naked people walking around... I saw some that kinda remind me of your neighbors when I was down in eastern New Mexico... :D
Do you mow your own hay? Do you have tractors, baler, etc? I'm sooo busy on our two acres. I think I'd be a bit overwhelmed with 18, but maybe eventually... :)

That lil pink kid came with house. He's a strange little fella... One heck of a gardener though. But I wish he would put some clothes on... I keep telling him he's gonna freeze his wieners off - I'm not sure he understands me though. I think he might be french.
