I got this finished today for my grand daughter Jodi, soon to be a big 2 years old.

It is a sort of drawstring purse.

But when opened up. It is a bed for a baby doll, with a blanket and a tiny stuffed animal.

The blanket and the bunny are attached to the bed/purse so they won't be easily lost when taken away from home.

Since the baby might get cold, there in Missouri, I made her a hooded pancho in matching yarn. Then I decided to make a matching hat for Jodi.

In the center of the doll blanket is a granny square made by my mother, some time prior to 1987 when she died.

My mom was an avid "crocheter." She was always making something. I inherited all her yarn when she died. It was YEARS, before I had to buy any yarn. And I still have a huge box of yarn, and quite a few granny squares over 20 years later!!

Absolutely beautiful - and I love the touch of family history. This is something she will treasure.:love
With my grandmother it was a huge box of quilting scraps. She never threw anything away.
