I'm reposting this recipe and pics (with permission) from a friend:

1 cup dandelion petals
2/3 cup flour
1/3-2/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp sea salt
1 large egg
3/4 cup buttermilk
Mix dry ingredients together in medium bowl then add egg and buttermilk and combine well
Bring vegetable oil to frying temperature (about 350 degrees)
Drop batter into oil by the heaping Tablespoonful
Fry until deep golden brown
Drain on paper towels

Yum! How can you not want a golden globule of deep fried goodness. We like our anything fried around here. It has made me the woman I am today.

:yuckyuck We rarely do fried foods - but - when we do I LOVE it! Every now and then I break down and fry something. Ya can't live in Texas without frying something sometime, lol!

Well dang. About 3 days too late for me. I'll have to wait for the next massive blooming.

We have a ton of dandelions this year. I thought about making wine. The chickens loves to eat them for me

Yup, I pick them every day and throw them to the chickens. They gobble them right up.
