Anyone deworm their chickens? Mine are confined and not free ranged but are healthy and all are laying. Run is completely covered and wrapped for the winter-dry floor. Feeder is hung from the ceiling and water bowl is dumped nightly and fully cleaned 1x a week. I have read articles that it is encouraged as a preventative but also not necessary. Thoughts? I have Safeguard on hand as a just in case in the chicken med chest but don't want to have to use it and do the egg withdrawal if it isn't necessary. Pros and cons welcome.
