How high can a full grown duck jump - specifically welsh harlequins? I need to fence a small area for the little buggers to keep the teens and babies separate for a while. I have some short garden fencing, but I don't want to wast my time with it if they are going to go right over it.
FYI, I'm not concerned about predators because they are already inside the main yard which is fenced. :)

That depends upon how much room they have for a running start. My drakes seem to be able to just barely scale a 4' tall fence (that is with a running, flapping start). A 4' fence will keep them in for the most part, but if they are motivated the way a drake can be motivated during mating season, they can scale it. I doubt they would bother though to chase after a little one and I have used that size of fencing before successfully for that purpose.

3-4' seems to work fine for me. I have a teenager in a separate pen because my big girls are MEAN to him! Rotten things!
