Eggs: To Pitch or NOT to Pitch

I candle eggs and take a good look at the air cell if I find a hidden bunch.

When I used to sell eggs, all the good, large ones were sold. I kept small or dirty ones for us.

There are always silkie eggs here. Takes 3 of those to make a large egg.

After many times cleaning yolk from broken eggs off others, I grew really tired of it and would rather just toss them.

I put out older eggs for the ravens anyway. I've witnessed them chasing off enough hawks to happily feed them occasionally.

Hello Lea. I I crack it, I'll immediately refridgerate it. If I find one cracked, I will cook it up for the hens.

Our customers have NO IDEA how we suffer for them! and then, some complain about the 1/2 price cost over what is "supposed to be" free range, FRESH eggs. I have been known to have a "hen shutdown" going on when they ask for more.

Heck, I can boil & feed back to the girls for that hassle.

Yeah, my eggs sell for about 1/2 of what they would cost at a store. And, they are real free range, not fake free range.

I was shocked the last time I looked at the price of eggs in the store. I had felt bad when I raised the price of my eggs, don't feel bad now.
