emptying a chest freezer

We had done FFA 26 meat chickens. I am down to about the end of them. I had got a small chest freezer to keep them in. I can now fit them in my second fridge freezer.
Question: how do your turn off chest freezer but not have it smell bad?

When I shut my freezer down because it is empty I first unplug it. I then let it defrost (it is not frost free). I will then wipe it out with a rag and apple cider vinigar and then place a block in to prevent the door from closing. Keeping the door open and the ACV help keep things fresh.
