Essential oils for soap-making

Can I use any essential oils to make homemade goat soap? Or are there other ways to scent it?

Yes. And, yes.

I use essential oils but, some places sell chemical scents. Just prefer to stick with the naturals here. Some things can be added like coffee, flowers, vanilla, etc. I generally find that while the scents smell great when you handle the bar of soap, most will not hang to your skin. Sometimes that is disappointing.

They sure make a closet smell good! Or the room they are in while curing.

Homemade soap is worth making because you control what goes into it. Do you really want artificially made scents on your skin? Most natural oils don't really linger long on the skin, although they smell wonderful while you are bathing or showering; but what is wrong with the wonderful scent of a clean body?
