what i'm hungry for i just typed two pages and deleted it. pecan pie, we don't have anything like that, but we do have some moolasses cookies with raspberry jam in the middle that are calling to me for brunch. i'm going to have to be strong and avoid them.

Spritz cookies followed by lemon curd. Actually I'm looking to make some lemon curd here soon as eggs are really starting to come in.

i've probably eaten a few hundred lbs of spritz cookies in my life and never known what they were called until a moment ago. we don't have a cookie press and i've never made them, but for some reason when those come by i really do enjoy them. i'm not sure i'd consider them a shortbread cookie but they do seem similar. put a bit of raspberry jam in the middle and i'm in.

these we make by the thousands each year. two types, plain and those with semi-sweet chocolate chips. i actually prefer the plain ones or if i'm having the chocolate chip ones i don't want too many chips in the cookie. odd for a chocolate lover to say this.
