A month or two ago while walking my dog i found a propane tank someone threw into a creek near our house. at the time i couldn't get to it but kept it in that back of my mind. yesterday i finally decided to start building my chiminea instead of buying one (100-300 bucks) i have enough scap to get it started. So off to the creek i went with the dog.;) after dragging out the darn thing i found it was full!:D So i carried the tank the 1/2 mile back to the house dog in tow. got home and saw the valve was open so not full of propane. but water, rust and mud.:( i took the valve apart drained it out and drilled a small hole for air to help draining. i'll have pics up soon for you guys as I go. the only thing i'm missing is a smoke stack. i think i will try and find some scrap exhaust pipe from a diesel shop. we will see.

i found some rusty diamond deck plating to cut out for his feet and also found an old consumable insert weld qual that is so corroded you can poke holes in it with a ink pen its a multiple bend 5" pipe so we have smoke stack! pictures to follow.

Neat project! Looks like a feature of an old-fashioned "Fun House" at a carnival.
