:D Hi ya'll,
Thought I would share with you an idea my brother gave me....
Food storage buckets.
Go to your local grocery stores, bakeries, rest. etc...
Icing comes in 3 & 5 gal. food grade buckets, the store's give these away free, I store my rice, flour, sugar, etc...in these food grade safe buckets. Plus they are easy to stack, and free.

Hope this helps ya'll. :old

What a great idea. I am going to check my local stores. I am want to purchase some bulk flour and sugar and that kind of thing. If I could find something to store it in that would be free it would make me very happy. Thanks for the information!!

Ours here cost $1.25 and do come with the covers. I'm always excited when they are available. My folks are visiting and think I'm nuts when I come home from shopping with more buckets! Of course they think I'm nuts for gardening, raising chickens, living frugally...

My school has them and if you ask they will give you some. I got one for bleaching a skull. It was a pickel barrel, I wouldn't use pickel to store food in.

the simple life said:
Do these come with covers too or do you get those seperately?
:) All of mine have. Course, there's lot's of uses for just the 5 gallon bucket. But when accompanied by the lid, they are great to store bulk food items in.

Glad this has helped others....
