Got up a little later than I wanted but still had to get out and get busy. Neighbor mowed my pasture the other day and in doing so he musta snagged the mower on the fence. Goats were out yesterday...on his property, lol. He broke it so goats felt the need to point it out. First order of business today was to do a quick repair. It wasn't terrible - just enough staples popped outta the post to let the fence sag. Big ol' boer goats never miss anything so they hopped over and so did the rest of the crew. All better now - no harm, no foul.
I figured while I was out there I'd kill two birds and all that.... Took the weed whacker and did some trimming around the pond. THE WORST WEEDS live there. I hate sedge. It's tough and fibrous and stringy and the trimmer struggles to get through it. I can get the lawn mower pretty close to the edge, but not close enough without risking a dunking. From what I understand - mowers can't swim and I certainly don't want to either. Yikes!
I started all this around 6:45 this morning. I got back in from those particular chores around 8 and it was already 89 degrees. So over it.
Gonna make some cheese today. I've been saying that for a week now but gotta get to it today. No more room in the fridge.
can you get a metal blade attachment for your trimmer? gotta be careful with it because it will go right through fences or edges of plastic or wood but for cutting harder things it does the job.
