I found a small crate used to ship some furniture in. It was laying by a dumpster. I snagged that thing up and brought it home. It almost did not fit in my small Toyota Rav4. Scrounged up a couple of old hinges and DH cut a piece of plywood to fit and we made a top for it. Now I have the perfect box to store feed in. Its about 3 foot tall and about 4 foot wide. All my extra feed plus part of a square bale of hay are in there with room left over. Now I drive by that business everyday. I sure would like to have one more of those to build shelves in.

Thats a great idea. There is a buisness near me who advertises a smallish shipping crate for free on craigs list. I have been drooling over it forever wondering what I could make of it. Now I think you have answered my question. Thanks
