Not at all something I had expected when we switched them.
Our cats live inside during the winter, and head back out sometime in April.
So from October through April, I have dealt with winter shedding. Petting them always resulted in hair all over.
Picking them up meant a nice layer added to our clothing.

I would say it was about 3 weeks after we switched them to Taste of the wild, they totally stopped shedding. They are now super sleek without any static.

We use taste of the wild for ours as well. They are shedding now that warmer weather has hit, but they had very little to no shedding during the winter. Until now I had thought it was just because our cats are part Bengal (hypoallergenic), but I guess it's also the food. :)

I do know that ever since the switch was made their fur is SO soft and shiny, and they also eat less. Of Course. My mom found out about the eating less when she switched her dog to eat Organic. Kimber started eating about half the amount of food, so it's actually cheaper for my mom to buy Organic dog food then nonorganic. We have found that that applies to human food as well. We eat less when eating Organic.

The price of TOTW has always put us off, but one our cats had such serious issues with triggering and compulsive eating, that we finally bought a small bag.
She transformed overnight.
And yes, they are eating about 1/2 of what they used too.
So the price is well worth it :)

Hmmmmmm........

I'm being swayed....

So, what is this Taste of The Wild? I have two cats, one who prefers his "lion" instincts and wants to live outside every day except Winter, and another who I'm constantly being asked if she's pregnant. Both are horrible shedders.

Some cats can get overweight on it still. The cat that has adopted my husband and I (they are all my families not ours) is a bit pudgy, but I think that will go away once he realizes it's warm outside and starts climbing trees and stuff again. The other cats are already spending hours outdoors every day but all he does all day is follow my husband or I around begging/demanding to play or sleep. The others are nice and trim, he is the only one, and much more inactive then they.

But even with his being overweight, they all still eat WAY less! My brother was going through 1 Large bag of the really cheap stuff every week, and now he goes through a medium bag of this every 2 weeks, and he has two more cats too!

Here is their website.
The cat food costs over $1 per pound, so be prepared for that.

I will never give my cats grains again, unless its the little bit of oats and milk they like to lick out of DHs bowl after breakfast.

It's sold at my local Tractor Supply! I've got to stop for goat grain anyway....guess I'll give it a try!

Thanks!

I am with gleno.. I am almost swayed as well. I have a male cat that had urinary stones and we have him on one of the foods for urinary health, but I wonder if TOTW would also keep him in check...

It does not hurt to try one small bag.
It will last long enough to see results if there are to be any for your cat.
The small bag lasted out two cats, three weeks.
