Welcome.... like the picture in your avatar. We have been in a moderately dry stage here in Va... rains have been spotty... we have been fortunate to get some the past 10 days that some did not get more than 1/10th of an inch to our 6 and 8/10ths.... Got some hay made today as they called for possible popup showers and it did turn dark and got about 10 fat drops right after I tedded out the hay. But it passed and got the hay raked and all baled. Got more to start.
Son and I have beef cattle, some dairy cows, chickens, sheep.... raise lots of broilers/roasters, have raised hogs and turkeys, and normally have a garden. Had an ankle replaced last year and knees will get done this October.... so not having a garden this year.... just moved into a house on 2 acres right next to one of the pastures we rent for some of our cattle so very handy. Going to get it fenced and be able to feed a few calves here once I get back on my feet.....

Several of the people in our rural area spent nights patrolling the roads, looking for anything suspicious. I do believe they managed to head off several attempts at arson. But it was hard on people, trying to stay awake and alert all night like that, then having to go in to work.

Unfortunately, we will see this as more and more of a necessity due to the insanity that our country and legal system has become.
