That's pretty cool. I've never heard of it.

We're next to a marsh and 2 huge ponds. We wave lots of birds. I counted 60+ red winged blackbirds alone last year.

I need to go refill the bird feeders. With the snow the sparrows and finches have a hard time getting to the grass heads

I did hear some grackles today and the barn birds...swallows maybe? Some water birds too. Not uncommon to see a Great Blue Heron and plenty of egrets in the back of the pasture and around the pond. Occasionally, and I mean very rarely we see bluebirds... And we hear owls sometimes too. I haven't seen any robins or cardinals yet.

Yeah we have herons too but not right now! And in the spring and fall our yard is full of junkos, they're so funny. You can't see them out there until they all fly off at once!
